Routine inspection (3-year)·May 14, 2026

On 5/142026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amelia Morales conducted an Unannounced Required- Annual inspection at the above facility. LPM and LPA arrived at approximately 1:20PM. LPA was greeted and let into the facility by Licensee. Facility refers to themselves as "Wiggles and Giggles Daycare." The Entrance Checklist was provided to help facilitate the inspection. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 14 children. LPA observed 8 children with Licensee and Licensees Assistant.  Children's roster was reviewed and is current. Facility operating hours are Monday through Friday 8:15 AM to 6:00PM. This is a single dwelling home which consist of; front yard, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, 3 bedroom, two bathroom, office (children's library room), sun room, detached garage and backyard. Per Licensee, parents and children use the side gate leading to the back yard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: the living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom #1, bedroom #1, bedroom #2. These areas are made inaccessible by the use of a baby gate. There is a fireplace located in the living room and is made inaccessible with a baby gate. The detached garage is also off limit, as well as a portion of the backyard located on the left side of the home is off-limits and made inaccessible to children. Per Licensee, on limits to the children in care are, bedroom #3 which is used as a napping area for children in care, bathroom #2 which is located inside bedroom #3, the office (children's library room), enclosed patio (day care room), and a portion of the backyard. Bedroom #3 is used as a napping area. Page 1 of 4 At approximately 1: 25 PM LPA observed children sleeping in the play yards, LPA inquired the ages of the child#1 age 3, child #2 age 3, child #4 age 4. LPA informed Licensee that placing a the children in the play yard is restraining them. Licensee stated they would remove the children and place them in the cots. LPA informed Licensee that play yards are meant for infants/toddlers under the age of 2 years. Licensee purchased more cots at the time of the visit. Per Licensee, food is provided to children in care. Per Licensee the children eat in the enclosed patio. LPA observed that the outdoor play area is fenced. Children's outdoor play equipment and toys are age appropriate and in good repair. Per Licensee, they visually supervise children at all times and never leave children unattended. There were no bodies of water on the premise. Per Licensee there are no firearms on the premise. There is a ring camera located outside the facility. LPA observed the following: the home is clean and orderly. There were age-appropriate toys and play items. Licensee was informed that baby-walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and other prohibited items will not be used for children in care. All electrical outlets have safety covers. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. The Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The Licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock. LPA did observe 2 small dogs at the time of visit. Per Licensee, isolation area for sick children is in bedroom #3. LPA observed the required (2A10BC) fire extinguisher located at entrance of bedroom #3 mounted and charged 1/7/2026. LPA reminded Licensee that a required (2A10BC) fire extinguisher must be purchased or charged yearly. There is a carbon monoxide and smoke detector observed in bedroom #3, tested and found to be operable. The last emergency disaster drill was done 5/1/2026. LPA Morales reminded Licensee that emergency disaster drills must be done every 6 months. The Licensee has current Pediatric First Aid and CPR. Proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles was readily available during today’s inspection. The Licensees has also taken the Mandated Reporter Training. — Pediatric First Aid and CPR Card valid until: 3/2027 — Mandated Reporter AB1207 is valid until: 6/2028 Page 2 of 4 LPA reminded Licensee that the Mandated Reporter Certification and Pediatric First Aid and CPR must be renewed every two years. LPA also reminded Licensees that Pediatric First Aid and CPR must be taken in person. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee, and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep , as an additional resource. LPA also informed [applicant, licensee, or facility representative] of the importance of checking for and removing recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/ , and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee stated that they do not accept car seats inside the facility. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensees were informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, Tisha Waber confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
