Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On February 12, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) visit. LPA met with licensee, Maryan Yousefi Danbal, and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during today\342\200\231s visit were the licensee, her assistant (spouse), and seven enrolled children (2 infants and 5 preschoolers). On February 6, 2026, at approximately 10:30 AM , LPA Gil conducted an unannounced case management deficiencies inspection. During the inspection, the licensee was issued one Type A citation and assessed a civil penalty for allowing an adult to work in the day care home without having criminal background clearance. The licensee was also issued two Type B citations for Personal Rights after an Investigations Branch (IB) investigator noted that the day care facility had one indoor camera located in the napping room above the changing table, and a child was handled in a rough manner. A Plan of Correction (POC) was discussed with the licensee at that time. As of today\342\200\231s visit, LPA observed that the licensee is operating in compliance, with all adults living or working in the home having fingerprint clearance. LPA observed that there is no camera installed in the nap room. LPA also received copies of certificates for the licensee and her spouse for completion of Essentials of Child Care training. LPA stated she would consult with management prior to approval of the certificates. Per the licensee, she currently has no assistants and does not plan to employ anyone other than her spouse. LPA reminded the licensee that she may have an assistant, provided the individual has fingerprint clearance and proper documentation available for review. During the visit, LPA observed the Notice of Site Visit to be properly posted and available for review. LPA also verified that all enrolled children have LIC 9224 forms on file as of this date.
