What the inspector wrote

On 09/09/2021 Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA) Laticia Thompson and Jillinda Chandler conducted an announced case management visit for the purpose of adding a Toddler Option to the existing Preschool. LPA's were greeted by facility representatives Kamani Goonewardena and Rosa Nepomuceno. LPA's inspected and measured all classrooms (1-4) and play areas related to facility sketch. Room 1 will be used for the toddler option, measurements for this room were: 650.86 divided by 35 square feet=18 children. There are 2 sinks and 2 toilets for a total of 30 children. Outdoor Measurements=1950.32 divided by 75 square feet= 26 children The outdoor play area for toddlers will be on the left of the planter area closet to the front of the facility. LPA's advised facility representative that the swings need to be adjusted to age appropriate level or removed. Room 2, 3, and 4 will continue to be used for the preschool, measurements for these rooms are: 2469.87 divided by 35 square feet for a total of 70 children. There are a total of 8 sinks for a total of 120 children. There are a total of 6 toilets for a total of 90 children Outdoor Measurements=2789.62 divided by 75 square feet=37 children. The outdoor play area for preschool will be on the right of the planter area closest to the back parking lot of the facility. Based on today's inspection the capacity for the toddler room will be 18 determined by the indoor activity space. The preschool capacity will be 67 determined on the requested capacity. Licensee shall request a waiver for the outdoor activity space to accommodate the indoor capacity. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to facility representative Kamani Goonewardena.
