What the inspector wrote

On 8/14/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeanine Lipsey conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of delivering findings regarding a complaint on the facility. LPA met with Director Rosa Nepomuceno. Census: There were 61 children being supervised 10 staff. Upon review of the Guardian Background Check System, Staff Silva Panchani does not have background clearance. Director Rosa disclosed Silva Panchani has been volunteering for 2 days starting 8/13/24 and today 8/14/24 for 1 hour a day. The director sent the volunteer away from the facility immediately to become into compliance. As a result of today's visit, a Type A Deficiency was issued for regulation 101170(e)(1) Criminal Record Clearance. A Civil Penalty of $200.00 will be assessed today due to the volunteer not having a Criminal Record Clearance. See attached LIC 421BG. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Rosa Nepomuceno. A copy of this report was provided.  A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

A civil penalty of $200 has been assessed.
