What the inspector wrote

Per interview with Director, Director stated water and milk is provided by the center. Per Director children bring their own water bottles and the center has a water dispenser in each classroom for the water bottles to be replenished throughout the day. Per interviews with staff, staff stated milk and water is provided by the center. Staff stated milk is offered during meal times and water is offered during snack and throughout the day. Per staff interviewed water is easily accessible for children. Per parents interviewed, parents did not express any concerns regarding the above mentioned allegations. Per LPA observations, LPA observed water bottles outside available for children when they were playing on the yard and inside of the classrooms. During meal time LPA observed milk being served with the meals, LPA observed in the Butterfly room lunch was served but children were not offered milk until 30 minutes into their meal when the Director came into the room and reminded the staff to give milk. LPA did not observe any children being denied any liquids. LPA reminded Director to ensure milk or water is served at the start of meal time. Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Angelica Castaneda, Director and appeal rights were provided. Page 2.
