Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Per Reporting Party staff left children unsupervised for an extended period of time and staff left day care child in soiled clothing for an extended period of time. Per interview with Director, the Director stated there is staff with the children at all times. Per Director they have a ratio board that helps the director schedule shifts to ensure no child is left unattended. Per Director children are not left in a soiled diaper. If a child has a soiled diaper the diaper is changed and if necessary the clothes are changed and placed in a bag for the parents to pick up at the end of the day. Per interviews with staff, denied allegations of children left unattended and left in soiled diapers. Per parents interviewed did not express any concerns with the above mentioned allegations. Parents interviewed stated they have not picked up their child with a soiled diaper nor have they witnessed any children being left without the presence of a staff member. Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Angelica Castaneda, Director and appeal rights were provided. Page 2.
