Per Center Director, an event indeed took place in the facility on November 15, 2023 that required the use of the outdoor play area after the hours of operation. The set up for the event began at 5:00PM. The facility closed at 6:00PM. Due to rain that occurred that day, children were provided with activities for indoor play. Director was stationed at the entrance of the facility gate to ensure no one from the event entered the indoors of the facility. Prior to the event, parents were notified of the event via BrightWheel, an online parent communication application. Notifications of the event were also posted at the facility entrance and next to the sign in and sign out sheets. During staff interviews, staff also disclosed that an event indeed took place at the facility after the hours of operation. Staff also confirmed that the Director stood outside next to the gate entrance of the facility to monitor that no one from the event entered the indoors of the facility during the event set up. Staff #1 disclosed that the Director stood outside in the rain to direct parents to the indoors during pick up and to make sure no one from the event entered the indoors of the facility. Staff #4 made no disclosures of uncleared adults from the event inside the building near or next to children while in her care. During parent interviews, parents disclosed observing a set up for an event during their child's pick up time. Parents made no disclosures of observing uncleared adults entering the indoors of the facility or uncleared adults near or next to children in care. Parent #4 confirmed that the facility notified parents via BrightWheel prior to the scheduled event date. Parent #4 also confirmed not seeing anyone from the event indoors near or next to children during pick up time. Parent #4 was able to observe the indoors during pick up when they were signing their child out of care. Parent #2 disclosed that the facility notified parents of the event and indoor activities were going to be provided to children. Parent #2 disclosed that due to the event, parking was limited but did not see any uncleared adults inside the facility next to children. Based on the investigation conducted by the LPA, it has been determined that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Sharon Collins, Center Director.
