Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Tatiana Bickham and Brittanee Cleveland conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 7/10/2024 at 12:30PM, and met with Janika Sutherland, Center Director, who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. LPA provided Director with a copy of the LIC 125 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. This is a preschool program which consists of 6 classrooms, 3 of which are not in use. Facility operation hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 6:00 PM. All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. There were 9 children and 2 staff present when LPA arrived. The facility was observed to be within the license capacity and limitations. Center Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Due to time constraints the Annual visit will be completed on a future date. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Janika Sutherland, Center Director.
