What the inspector wrote

On 4/05/2022 at 12:48 pm Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Deborah Lowe and Suzette Ornelas met with applicant Tara Perera. The purpose of the visit was a third announce pre-licensing inspection to review for a change in ownership application at the facility to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as requires by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. There were 18 infants present during this inspection. This is an application for 27 infants, ages 0 months to 24 months. The child care center will operate Monday \342\200\223 Friday 7:00 a.m. \342\200\223 6:00 p.m. Applicant has a pending application for a Preschool License #197494946. The fire clearance was approved on 10/22/2021. The 1st pre-licensing visit was conducted on 01/03/2022, 2 nd pre-licensing visit was conducted on 01/25/2022. LPAs Lowe and Ornelas are conducting a 3 rd pre-licensing visit to evaluate the facility change in Infant outdoor activity space. LPAs Lowe and Ornelas toured the infant facility and measured the infant outdoor activity space. Infant Outdoor Measurements: Infant outdoor area #1 located in back of facility behind room #6 (38.17 x 37.25) = 1,421.83 + (17.42 x 6.42) = 111.84 Infant outdoor #1 \342\200\223 1,421.83 + 111.84 = 1533.67 divided by 75 square feet = 20 infants. Infant outdoor area #2 located on grass area in front of infant classrooms and office. (32.67 x 12.50) = 408.36 divided by 75 square feet = 5 infants. Applicant provided LPAs with an updated Infant outdoor schedule during visit. Applicant also provided a written request to withdraw their request for a shared outdoor activity space waiver. The following corrections are still needed before application will be considered; corrections due by 4/12/2022: \302\267 Proof of shade structure purchased for infant outdoor area #1 \302\267 Licensee is requesting capacity to match capacity for outdoor activity space. LIC 200A will be needed to show the new capacity request. Applicant provided new LIC 200A at end of visit on 4/05/2022. \302\267 New Facility sketch to include infant outdoor activity areas. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the applicant Tara Perera.
