What the inspector wrote

On 9/17/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Lovest and LPA Judy Laureano conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of ensuring the standards are being met in accordance with California Tittle 22 Regulations and California Health and Safety Codes. LPAs met with Licensee Latiesha Austin and toured the facility both indoors and outdoors. During today\342\200\231s inspection there were 58 children and 10 staff members providing care and supervision. Based on observation and record review, the facility did not comply with the following regulation: 101161 Limitations on Capacity LPA Lovest and LPA Laureano observed Classroom 2\342\200\231s with 17 children and 3 teachers. Upon record review of facility roster and sign in sheets, 4 of 17 children present during today\342\200\231s visit were under 2 years old. Facility is licensed to care for children ages 2 years old to entry into first grade for an overall capacity of 100 children. LPA Lovest instructed facility licensee to contact families to ensure compliance is met by the end of the inspection. One Type A deficiency cited during today\342\200\231s visit in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, and Chapter 1. See LIC 809-D for additional information. Upon receipt of this report, the Director shall post the Notice of Site Visit and any Licensing report documenting a Type \342\200\234A\342\200\235 deficiency. The report and the Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required, will result in an immediate $100 civil penalty. A copy of this report shall be provided to the parent/guardian of children currently enrolled by the next business day or immediately upon return. A copy of this report shall also be provided to the parent/guardian of any newly enrolled children for the next 12 months (1 year). The Acknowledgment of Receipt (LIC9224) form must be maintained in each child\342\200\231s file immediately upon receipt from parent. The Licensee was provided with a copy of the Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) Form during this visit. An exit interview was conducted, and Plan of Correction was reviewed and developed with the Licensee, copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and left with the Licensee, Latiesha Austin , whose signature on this form confirm receipt of these documents.
