What the inspector wrote

On 11/24/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Patsy Plancarte and Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Karren Starks made an unannounced visit for the purpose of inspecting a room that is off limits and the licensee wishes to use for care. LPA and LPM met with the licensee, Nakeia Tillman who had 6 children in care, two of which were infants along with 2 staff members all of which had criminal record clearances. The home is 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom home with a living room, dining area, kitchen enclosed patio and attached garage. No swimming pool or body of water was observed at the time of the inspection. Per the licensee no weapons are in the home. No weapons were observed. The licensee wishes to now use the enclose patio area for care for the infants. The area is accessed via the backyard through two gates. The exterior gate has a single keycode access, the area was observed to have operable smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher, small refrigerator, portable sink with water being exchanged weekly. A microwave and playing mat. There is a portable air conditioning unit as well as a portable heater that is brought in to heat the area when needed. Age appropriate furniture and play equipment was observed. Based on the observation today the licensee is able to begin using the exterior patio area for care. An updated facility sketch has been provided and is on file. No deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted, a LIC 809S is being provided during the visit but a copy of this report and Notice of Site visit will be issued to the licensee due to technical difficulties.
