Pre-licensing visit·July 21, 2022

On 7/21/2022 at 8:05 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deborah Lowe met with applicant, Shamalie Goonewardene. The purpose of the visit was an announce pre-licensing inspection at the facility to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as requires by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. There were 26 children were present during this inspection. This is a change of ownership application is for 58 children, ages 2 years to entry into 1 st grade. The child care center will operate Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The fire clearance was approved on 6/20/2022. Facility is located on a corner lot of W Victory Boulevard and Evergreen Street. Facility has four buildings, three buildings are used for child care, 4 th building located on building 1 front yard area is off limits to children and used for storage only. LPA observed building 4 (garage) with a pad lock on the roll up garage door making area inaccessible to children. There is a white gate dividing building 1 and building 2. Building 3 is located in the corner area of building 2 front yard outdoor space. LPA Lowe toured and measured the on-limits areas and classrooms located at the facility. Children will have access to 4 sinks and 6 toilets. Classroom measurements are : Indoor total measurements: 1855.24 square (sq) feet (ft) divided by 35 sq ft = 53 children. Outdoor Play measurements are: Outdoor total measurements: 5275.52 sq ft divided by 75 sq ft = 70 children. Facility was observed and measured with four outdoor activity spaces. Building 1 and Building 2 with a front yard and a back yard.
