What the inspector wrote

On 8/14/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Veronica Wheatley observed the school age program not operating. The licensee did not inform the Department of closure. LPA was informed the the facility has been closed since June 2025 due to low enrollment. The staff are unsure if the school age program will reopen in the fall. The facility is being cited for not reporting to the Department. LPA explained the process of Inactive Status and provided a copy of the Inactive Status form should the facility stay closed during the school year. Exit interview conducted. A copy of the report was read and provided to Interim Executive Director. A Notice of Site Visit will be posted for 30 days.A Notice of Site Visit will be posted for 30 days.

    101161a-Limitations on Capacity-A licensee shall not operate a child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation. This is evidenced by LPA V. Wheatley observed six preschool children being supervised by three staff members. The program operates two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 12pm. The licensee does not have a preschool license. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care according to Title 22 Regulation.
