What the inspector wrote

On 03/27/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tyra Chavies arrived at the above named facility to conduct an unannounced case management visit. Technical: LPA Chavies arrived at facility and was given permission to conduct walk through without director or representative. Around 12:37 PM LPA observed Twaddler B classroom. During nap time observed 15 children with 1 awake child with 1 Staff member. Around 12:40 PM, LPA observed Preschool 2B classroom during their nap time and observed 16 children with 5 awake children with 1 Staff member present. Around 12:44 PM,  LPA Chavies observed Preschool 1 classroom during their nap time with 17 children with 3 awake children 1 Staff member. Staff member #2 arrived back in classroom around 12:45 PM. A teacher-child ratio of one teacher supervising 24 napping children is permitted provided that the remaining teachers necessary to meet the overall ratio specified in Section 101216.3(a) are immediately available at the center. LPA Chavies also advised director if 1 child is awake during nap time then regulation 101216.3 (a) must be followed. Based on interviews conducted and review of facility and personnel documentation, it does not appear that the children's personal rights were violated. No deficiencies were cited. Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was provided to director, Demi Lara.
