What the inspector wrote

On 04/18/22 LPA Dorsey arrived to the home to conduct a Required 1 year visit. Upon arrival LPA met with Licensee Stephanie Ochoa and assistant #1, during the visit LPA Dorsey observed 4 children in care at the home. Per licensee she has a doctors appointment and will be leaving the home and would like to be present during the visit. The licensee will be leaving assistant #1 with the children who is cleared and associated to the home. LPA Dorsey will return to the home on a later date to conduct a Case Management - Annual Continuation visit. During the visit LPA Dorsey gave the licensee a technical violation due to banned equipment in the home. Per licensee the equipment is used for family members and not day care children. LPA Dorsey reminded licensee that the equipment must not be present in the care areas when children are present. During the visit LPA Dorsey observed the equipment was moved to an off-limits area. LPA also informed licensee Ochoa of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Stephanie Ochoa.
