On May 20th, 2026 at 1:35pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Evelyn Chacon and Ana Rodriguez conducted an unannounced/random inspection. LPA met with licensee Adrianne Adeniran and advised her on the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPAs a tour of the home inside and outside. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection. Licensee stated that she has not had children in care since 2024. LPA Chacon verified all adults in the home have been background cleared. Operating hours are 6:00am- 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Licensee has a four (4) bedroom, two (2) and a half bathroom home. Licensee uses the living room, one (1) bathroom, den one (1), den two (2), dining room, kitchen and backyard for care. Off limit areas to children in care include entire upstairs which includes all bedrooms, laundry room, and garage. Licensee showed the gate that affixes to the walls of the stairs and stated since she does not have in care she will put the gate back once children are enrolled. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible inside childcare home. LPA observed all proper posted documents in an accessible area of the home. Licensee stated they do not have firearms, ammo, or bodies of water on the facility. During the tour of the facility, Licensee observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher within the appropriate range. Fireplace was covered with a glass covering and locked with a child lock. Smoke/carbon monoxide detectors were tested and were heard to be in working order. Licensee stated that the facility does not provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS) due to not having children in care Licensee stated if children are sick separate room (den one) will be used for isolation area. All knives and sharp items were observed to be locked in a drawer in the kitchen. Cleaning supplies and chemicals are located beneath the kitchen sink which was observed to be locked with a child safety lock. The outdoor area is enclosed with a brick wall and fencing all around. Shade is accessible and no storage areas were observed at time of inspection. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and child sized furniture . Licensee stated water is made readily available for children. LPA did not review sampling of children and staff files due to no children in care at time of inspection. Licensee’s Mandated reporter certificate was current and expires 05/2028. Licensees Pediatric CPR/First Aide was current and expires 11/2026. Last emergency drill was conducted on 11/1/2024 which was the last time children were in care. At this time there were no deficiencies cited. LPA conducted closing script and notice of site was given and must be posted within 30 days. Licensee [or facility representative] was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee [or facility representative] and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and ­ resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed . For IMS information see PIN 22- 02-CCP . When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee [or facility representative] was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee [name], confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
