What the inspector wrote

On 11/21/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Andrew Alemoh conducted a Pre-licensing Inspection with Applicant Shinee Erdenbileg, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a two-story house with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms , living room, kitchen, laundry room, playroom area and garage. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home are 2 adult (applicant, applicant husband) and 2 minor children. The facility will operate Monday through Saturday from 8AM-5PM for less than 24 hours and with a license capacity of 8 children. LPA went over the childcare ratios for a small family home with applicant and provided applicant a copy. Main care will be provided in the playroom area. Children will eat in the living room area. Per applicant, she will be utilizing a food program. AM snack, lunch and dinner are provided. The day care children will utilize the hallway bathroom on the right-hand side of the main care area. Children will use the rear yard for outdoor play. The front yard, kitchen, all bedrooms, laundry room, and garage area are off limits to the day care children. LPA observed day care area to be clean and orderly, fireplace screened in the living room area, central air and heating, age-appropriate toys and play equipment, working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in operable condition. LPA reminded applicant the children's bathroom must be free of shampoos, mouthwash, medication, perfumes, razor, air freshener, nail polish and polish remover. LPA observed a clean, safe, and operable toilet and faucet. LPA observe a fully charge (2A10BC) fire extinguisher during the inspection located next to the door leading to the backyard area. Per applicant no alcohol is present in the home. First aid kit is also stored in the shelf next to the play area. Per applicant there is no medications on the premises. Cleaning items are inaccessible to children stored in (upstairs off limit bathrooms). Kitchen: LPA observed a safety locks on all lower kitchen cabinets. The following are inaccessible: Sharp items are stored in the upper kitchen cabinet unreachable to children in care. LPA observed the refrigerator and freezer to be clean. LPA discuss with applicant food shall be properly stored or refrigerated in a container that is labeled with child\342\200\231s name when supplied by a parent. Applicant plans to have a food program. LPA toured the backyard and observe it to be free of garden tools, poisonous plants, thorn trees cactus, or lawn mower inaccessible to children. The backyard is gated by a black fence. LPA observed the outdoor air conditioner to be fully covered. LPA also observed a storage shed on the right side of the backyard. Applicant states there is one dog on the premises. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Applicant is ready for licensor. Exit interview conducted copy of this report was provided to applicant along with notice of site visit.
