What the inspector wrote

October 07. 2025, Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Calloway conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry. The purpose of this inspection is to discuss the background check Case Closure for Marrell Miller. LPA toured the facility with the licensee and observed one day care child in active care with the licensee. LPA observed a mobile home located on the driveway of the licensee stated they did not have keys and could not gain entry inside. LPA provided the licensee with a copy of the letters from the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Care Provider Management Branch (CPMB) dated August 7, 2025, and September 25, 2025. The letter dated September 25, 2025, states the background process for a Criminal Record Exemption has been closed for Marell Miller and Mr. Miller is disassociated from the facility roster of the licensed family childcare home upon receipt of that letter. The Licensee understands Marrell Miller has been disassociated with the facility and is not to reside at the facility, nor to be present at the facility during day care hours. The Confirmation of Removal form (LIC 300A) was provided to the licensee during this inspection and is due within five (5) days from the date of this report to the Palmdale Regional Office. Per 102370 (b)(1)(B) failure to submit the LIC 300A form may result in a civil penalty being assessed for $50 per day. There are no deficiencies cited during this inspection. Exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213), this report, and the LIC 300A were provided to Beverly Miller, Licensee at the facility. A Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for thirty (30) consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting will result in a $100 civil penalty.
