Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On May 24, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annelise Villa conducted an announced Pre-License follow up inspection of the Mankyan Family Child Care Home. LPA met with applicant Naria Manukyan. The purpose of the inspection is to conduct a follow-up Pre-Licensing Inspection to review the corrections required for licensure. LPA and applicant toured the facility inside and out to ensure the home meets State Licensing Title 22 Regulations. During the inspections, LPA observed the required corrections being made which included the following: - Made outdoor area barricaded in a way that prevents potential climbing to the cliff below. Applicant added a 5-foot mesh fence to prohibit climbing over the glass fence and over the cliff. All tables and toys that could potentially be used for climbing have been moved away from the fence and all pathways remain clear. Applicant understands herself or an assistant must be present when children are playing outside and children must be supervised closely at all times when in the back yard. - Obtained outlet covers for electrical outlets in the playroom to prevent injury to children As a result of this inspection, the home does meet Title 22 Regulations. Applicant is ready for licensure as of May 24, 2023. Exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was discussed and left with applicant Naira Manukyan.
