What the inspector wrote

On 08/20/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with Director, Rosa Ayala Lopez, who granted access to the facility. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct a UIR follow up regarding two new cases of gastrointestinal symptoms from UIR received 08/18/25 and occurred on 08/14/25 . LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection. Upon arrival, there are 23 children in care, along with 9 teachers and Director. Summary: Facility reported two children in different classrooms have been diagnosed with Gastrointestinal sickness and had a fever and diarrhea. Child #2 went home on 08/14/25. Child #1 is currently associated to preschool license, and another LIC809 incident report has been created on the preschool license for this incident. From interviews conducted, children are back at the center since 08/18/25, and do not have any more gastrointestinal symptoms. Director stated she is still in touch with Department of Public Health and their health team. Center will continue to monitor and disclose any new cases to Palmdale Regional Office. No deficiencies have been cited at this time. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to Director on this date, along with a copy of her appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit.
