Licensing Program Analyst met with Rushani Thomas-Wise today for the purpose of conducting a Case Management inspection. Director is requesting to decrease the capacity for the Infant component from 52 (current license capacity) to 34. Together Director and LPA measured 2 classrooms (Nido #1; and the Crib Room) Measurements were as follows: Nido 1 - 24 X 26 = 624/35 = 18 (Cribs will be added to the rear of the classroom) Crib Room: 22 X 18 = 396/35 = 12 Additional area in front of the sink 11 X 12 = 132/35=4 Total Capacity for the crib room = 16 Total Infant Capacity: 34 LPA observed age appropriate toys, play equipment, diaper changing tables in place, small refrigerator. Infants also have their play yard. While touring the Crib Room, LPA observed 4 Infants asleep in cribs, LPA reminded Director of the updated Safe Sleep Regulation which require Infants under 12 months, must sleep on their backs. LPA also referred Director to PIN 20 - 24 CCP dated 9/15/2020.
