What the inspector wrote

On March 21, 2022 at 11AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted a Case Management- COVID-19 inspection with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Registered Nurse (DPH RN), Christopher Kang. LPA was greeted by Head of School who guided LPA and DPH RN on a tour of the facility. Upon arrival LPA observed 80 children with 19 staff. LPA conducted the Case Management inspection for the purpose of a COVID-19 outbreak at the facility. Upon entry, LPA observed a touchless thermometer, temperature log for children and staff, hand sanitizer and observed containers for clean and dirty pens. Per Head of school parents are not allowed into the facility. In Preschool classrooms: Hand washing station have signs, toys are disinfected at the end of everyday. Children are social distanced and have individual activities. Per DPH RN recommendation, toys be placed in hamper/bucket after every use for disinfecting. Facility uses water with bleach to disinfect toys. Children cots are disinfected every other day. LPA and DPH RN, observed disinfecting/cleaning supplies in each classroom. Disinfectant and cleaning supplies are store in the upper cabinets where they are inaccessible to children in care. LPA and DPH RN observed children isolation area. Isolation area is inside the lobby near the front desk. Per DPH RN, recommendation was to have children isolate in an outdoor area (play yard) where there is an isolated restroom. There were no citations cited today. DPH RN, will provide LPA with recommendations that were made at the facility and the clearance letter for the facility, via email. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided along with Notice of Site Visit.
