What the inspector wrote
On June 25, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the above facility for the purpose of conducting an Annual Random inspection. LPA met with facility representative who granted access. LPA and representative toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed one hundred sixteen (16) children in active care and four staff. The facility operates from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Monday-Friday. There is one (1) half day classroom (Monday-Friday 8 to 12:30 PM. All employees have a Criminal Record Clearance (DOJ/FBI) and Child Abuse Index Clearance and are associated to the facility.
Physical Plant:
There were three clean and safe classrooms two toddler classrooms and one infant classroom the telephone service, heating, ventilation, and lighting are adequate. One classroom was observed empty. The schedule and activities were posted. There are cubbies for children's belongings that are labeled with the children\342\200\231s names in each classroom. The furniture, books, equipment, toys, and materials were age appropriate. There were activity rugs inside the room for play. Per representative, the rugs are vacuumed daily and cleaned once a week. In the infant room, LPA observed seven cribs for napping equipment and four highchairs there was enough for all children. The bedding is stored separately and per representative, the bedding is washed daily for infants. There were changing tables in each classroom with a sink nearby for hand washing that was functioning properly with soap and paper towels. First Aid Kits were observed in each classroom in a red backpack. There is an Emergency Survival Kit kept in the isolation room in a yellow back pack it was observed sealed. Per representative, the fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are operable. Trash cans have secure lids. The temperature inside each classroom was comfortable. The laundry room is in the hallway locked with a keypad lock
The outlets in the classrooms are transitional. There is allergy list inside the cabinet in each classroom. Per representative, the last fire inspection was conducted 10/24.
Bathrooms:
There are bathrooms in each classroom that have one toilet and one sink that were functioning properly, and one outside handwashing sink that was functioning properly and age appropriate. LPA did not observe any accessible hazards. There was soap, toilet paper, and paper towels readily available. The cleaning supplies were on a small shelf up high and inaccessible. The staff restrooms are in the hallway outside of the classroom.
Kitchen:
There is a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, two microwaves one toaster oven, and three sinks and two handwashing sinks. The kitchen was clean and there were no accessible hazards observed. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. The menus are posted in the front lobby and in the hallway. There is a confidential allergy list posted inside the cabinet. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks. The chemicals and cleaning supplies are kept separate from the food and are locked in the cabinet above the handwashing sink. LPA observed 1%, or nonfat milk and whole milk per representative the whole milk is for a child that has milk allergy.
Outside:
Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and is age appropriate. LPA observed a small play structure with one slide securely anchored in the ground with a canopy for shade and grass as a cushioned surface. There were small plastic bikes and play equipment. The playground was observed to be free of debris. Drinking water is available in the form of a portable water jug and labeled cups. Per representative, there a
re no bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Th
ere was a storage shed observed locked. The fencing is vinyl and was observed locked and is secure around the entire playground.
Other Review:
Children and staff files were reviewed, and staff interview was conducted. Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid (expires 4/2026). Transportation is not provided. Disaster Drills: Fire Drill was conducted: 6/23/25, Earthquake drill was conducted: 5/8/25, the Lockdown drill was conducted: 5/27/25. A complete Child/Parent Roster was not available during inspection. The Staff/Child ratios were observed to be compliant; the sign in/out sheets were digital/electronic that is coded with a code per parent and paper sign in sheets with parent initials.
Per representative, the children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in front lobby to the right of the desk on a cot until the parent can pick up the child. Per representative, the medications are stored in the main office, locked. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered only with parent's written permission. The management staff administers medication and documents the dosage, date, and time onto a log. Medication is stored in the supervisor\342\200\231s office, locked it is properly labeled and stored in its original container.

. to obtain information about the most recent regulatory changes and the Quarterly Updates. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

sleep; as an additional resource. LPA also informed facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. State law prohibits baby walkers, bouncy seats, exersaucers, bassinettes or any other items that fall into that category. All infants are sleeping on their backs unless specified with LIC 9227 form and no blankets, toys, or pacifiers attached. Conduct 15-minute nap monitoring and napping log is kept daily

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care
Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for
drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5 years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website, a
consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

There are no deficiencies cited during this inspection.
Exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit, this report, and Appeal Rights were provided to Shirley King, Facility Representative. A Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for thirty (30) consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting will result in a $100 civil penalty.
