On 10/24/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo conducted an unannounced Case Management visit. The purpose of the visit was to discuss a waiver request regarding the facility's preschool outdoor activity space. LPA met with Director Rosa Ayala Lopez. Upon arrival, there were 40 preschool age children and 8 teachers present. A waiver is being requested to allow preschool children continued access to the outdoor play yard while a new shade structure is being installed. During the installation period, children will utilize the left side of the play yard. Because the usable outdoor space will be temporarily reduced, the facility is requesting a waiver to permit alternating group use of the playground. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPA Tamayo measured the designated outdoor area that preschool-age children will use for play. This section is located near the playground slide and existing shaded structures. The total outdoor space accessible to children measures 2,250 square feet, which supports a maximum of 30 preschool-age children at one time. This waiver request is currently under review by the Department for approval. A copy of this report was discussed and left with Director Rosa Ayala Lopez, along with a copy of her appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit.
