Non-compliance follow-up·December 10, 2025

On 12/10/2025, an unannounced Legal Case Management inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Cha. Upon arrival, the LPA met with Director Genevieve Berdin and Assistant Director Tressa Johnson and observed 18 preschool age children in care with five staff providing supervision. The licensee, Darrell Maston arrived approximately 45 minutes after LPA Cha arrived. During the inspection, LPA Cha explained the purpose of the visit and provided the licensee, Darrell Maston with a copy of Decision and Order – CDSS No. 7825114004 which prohibits Cleophus Rawls from employment and excludes him from all State-licensed facilities, It is ordered on 12/04/2025. The LPA toured the facility and did not observe Cleophus Rawls on site. The licensee, Darrell Maston stated that he understands the terms of the Decision and Order and had no questions. No deficiencies were identified during today’s inspection. An exit interview was conducted with the licensee. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain the posting as required may result in a $100 civil penalty. A copy of Appeal Rights (LIC 9058 FAS 01/16) was provided to the licensee, Darrell Maston.
