Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Licensee, Wellzina Fernandez for the purpose of conducting a case management inspection. Licensee is requesting to transition her license from Toddlers and Preschool children to School-age children ages 6-13. During this inspection, LPA measured rooms 1,2,&3 identified on the facility sketch. Measurements were as follows: Rm#1: 663/35 = 19 Rm#2 801/35= 23 Rm#3 394/35 = 11 General/Computer area= 412/35= 12 Total indoor space = 64 There's 1 bathroom with 3 toilets and 3 sinks in 1 bathroom = 45 Outside play space: 1486 (back area) + 533 (front area) = 1,802/75 = 24 Fire clearance has been received for a capacity of 48 children, with LPA'S measurements, center can accommodate 64 children, however with the ratio of toilets and sinks, center is limited to no more than 45 children. Since there's only 1 bathroom (with individual stalls), only children of the same sex are allowed in the bathroom together per Section 101539(b)(1) which states: Toilet facilities shall not be used simultaneously by children of both sexes. I n addition, there are physical plant corrections needed: There are 2 ceiling tiles in Room #1 that need replacing due to water damage The mesh shade on the play yard has holes due to water damage. Once these 2 items are repaired, center will be submitted for approva l. Exit interview conducted, copy of this report was reviewed and signed by licensee, copy of report left with licensee.
