Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On April 14, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway, made an unannounced case management inspection to the above facility. The purpose of the case management was to follow up on a self-reported Unusual Incident Report (UIR) submitted to the Palmdale Regional Office on April 3, 2026. LPA met with Elizabeth Von Busch, the facility director, and toured the facility with the director and observed thirty-three (33)-day care children and eleven staff in active care. All adults 18 years and over have Criminal Record Clearance (DOJ) and Child Abuse Central Index Clearance and are associated with the facility. On April 2, 2026, the reported information involved a child (C1) who had a medical emergency at the preschool while inside the classroom. One staff stayed with C1 and the other staff removed the other children from the classroom onto the playground. The staff immediately called the paramedics and notified C1’s parents. C1 was taken to the emergency room for further medical assessment and returned to the daycare on April 14, 2026, after the Spring break. During this inspection, LPA conducted interviews with all relevant parties involved. LPA reviewed files and toured the classroom. Based on interviews and record review the staff is aware of C1’s needs and medical history and followed the proper protocol by rendering aid and notifying the parents in a timely manner. There are no deficiencies cited during this inspection. Exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit, and Appeal Rights were provided to Elizabeth Von Busch, Director at the facility.
