What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green conducted an announced case management licensee-initiated inspection. Licensing staff met with Coordinator of ECE, Patricia Guzman. The preschool program hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm. This facility is located on the campus of Field Elementary School. There were no children present during this inspection. Per the Facility Representative, Program will begin its session on August 14, 2023. This is a preschool program that is currently licensed to operate from 2 classrooms which are classrooms H25 and RM 126. Licensee has requested to change from RM 126 to Classroom C21. LPA inspected classroom C21 and observed age-appropriate furniture. Individual storage space was available for each child located inside the classroom. Toys were observed to be clean and safe. There is 2 toilets and 2 sinks available within the classroom C21. LPA observed the facility to have water accessible via water fountains located throughout the facility however at this time the children will have their personal sippy cups or be provided bottled waters. Licensing staff was guided through the outdoor activity areas. There is an approved waiver on file allowing the preschool program to share usage of the playground on a staggered schedule with the TK program. The outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition and age appropriate. The Department has received an approved Fire Clearance from the Pasadena Fire Department. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. The preschool capacity will remain at 50 children. Upon return to the Regional Office, the license will be updated to reflect the licensed classrooms as H25 and C21. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative. A notice of site visit was given to facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
