What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anomeh Eivazian conducted an unannounced case management inspection on 05/01/24 at 2:20 PM to inspect second floor classes and add Office/music class as preschool classroom. LPA met with Karin Agop Bilavian, Director who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This facility is located on Armenian Sisters Academy Elementary School property. There is a Kindergarten program on the premises which is by the Elementary side of the school. Affidavit for Kindergarten program on file. Facility operation hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Per director, currently 65 children are enrolled in Preschool program. Per director, currently they do not have any toddlers enrolled in Toddler Option program. LPA observed 60 children were present in the facility napping with five staff. Fire clearance to use the second floor four preschool classrooms and office/music room was granted on 04/17/24. A written letter and updated facility sketch to add office/music area in the second floor as preschool area was submitted to LPA Eivazian on 03/22/24. Facility is licensed for capacity of 110, preschool with capacity of 100 and toddler with capacity of 10. At 2:30 PM, LPA toured the facility. LPA toured the office/music area, which is adjacent to Blue B classroom. LPA observed director office area, a piano, children chairs and toys in the Office/music area. Per director, children will use the office area for music class. There was no changes on the facility capacity. LPA informed director, effective today the office/music room can be used as preschool program area. LPA informed director, effective today the previous waiver to share second floor bathroom between kindergarten student and preschoolers will be expired. LPA informed director effective today only preschoolers can use the second floor bathrooms. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director, Karin Agop Bilavian at 4:00 PM.
