What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Cynthia Reyes conducted an unannounced plan of correction (POC) inspection in English, for the purpose of inspecting the facility to ensure the health and safety standards as required by the regulations governing childcare homes are met. LPA met with licensee Lorena Martin who took LPA on a tour of the home inside and out. LPA reviewed all plan of corrections for all citations given on 06/10/2025 and 06/16/2025. All citations have been cleared, however LPA requested for licensee to add additional detailed information to some of the declarations requested as correction for the citations listed below: 102402(a)(3) Conduct Inimical= Licensee states she will write a declaration in detail regarding usage of the unlicensed home, her over night care, fingerprint of adults and all the children enrolled. 102416.5(d) Staffing Ratio and Capacity= Licensee states will write a declaration in detail, on how she will ensure she will not use the unlicensed home next door to conduct her day care. LPA presented the licensee with a letter of deficiencies citations Cleared for all citations given on 06/10/2025 and 06/16/2025, except for the citations listed above that need more details. No recitation is given as it has been competed, however LPA requested the updates and a correction letter will be given for those once the update is completed. Continue on next page Page 2 Licensee also request LPA to inspect the back yard as she wants to use it for more play space for the children. LPA reviewed and advised licensee 100% supervision is required outside at all times. Licensee provided a updated copy of her facility sketch. LPA has approved for the back yard to be used as part of the children play space. Licensee stated she will be doing construction to her back yard when she goes on vacation and the day care will be close during that time and licensee will submit a detail email with what the construction will consist of and the days and hours of construction and completion date for LPA to inspect once completed. LPA also handed the licensee a letter requesting her presence at a Non-compliance conference at the departments office in Monterey park with the date and time of the meeting for the day care. LPA informed licensee that several attempted phone calls and a couple of emails were sent for this meeting request. Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report was given to licensee Lorena Martin with a notice of site visit to be posted for 30 days.
