What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced POC (plan of correction) inspection to ensure that the Type B deficiencies cited on 2/8/24 have been cleared. A COVID risk assessment was conducted upon entry. LPA met with Director, Maricruz Flores, to whom the reason for the visit was explained. Director, guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were 41 children present during this inspection. The following was observed: Per Director 3 additional staff have been hired to assist with bathrooming in the preschool classrooms. Director states there will be at least one extra staff available to assist with taking children to the bathroom at all times. LPA observed the Director has purchased brand new microwaves for the classrooms. Director met with all staff about cleaning the microwaves after each use, and added cleaning the microwave before and after use to the classroom cleaning checklist. Director provided LPA a copy of the cleaning checklist. Director stated she observed staff throughout the week changing diapers and monitored the diaper log is completed and diapers are changed every hour and a half at most. Director completed a Diaper Changing Observation Form for each staff and met with staff to go over the results and staff and director signed the forms. Page 1 of 2 LPA cleared the deficiencies on this date and provided a copy of the Licensing Report to Maricruz Flores. LPA also issued POC clearance letter during the visit. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Therefore, no deficiencies are being cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Maricruz Flores. Page 2 of 2
