What the inspector wrote

LPA Perry conducted interviews with parents of enrolled children. No disclosures or concerns were made regarding the allegation. LPA Perry conducted child interviews. Child #1, Child #3, and Child #4 stated that some children nap while others do not, and that quiet activities are provided for those who choose not to nap. Staff interviews confirmed nap/rest time is part of the daily schedule, children are not forced to nap, and quiet activities are provided for non-nappers. LPA reviewed the posted daily schedule which designated rest time from 12:20 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. During observation, some children napped while others engaged in quiet activities. Allegation #2: Facility does not have a daily schedule available. The RP alleged, “There is no schedule posted for the facility to follow. I had to ask about the curriculum, but nothing was provided to parents. When I asked teachers what the children were learning, I was told the topic of the week but I wanted a clearer structure.” LPA conducted parent interviews and no disclosures were made pertaining to the allegation above. Parents reported seeing a daily schedule posted in the classrooms. LPA conducted child interviews and no disclosures were made pertaining to the allegation above. LPA conducted staff interviews. All staff interviews revealed that daily schedules have been posted in each classroom since the first day of school, 8/21/2025. Staff stated the schedules are posted along with other required postings on the licensing board, in an area visible to parents. LPA observed daily schedules posted in each classroom and verified they outlined rest, meals, and activities in compliance with Title 22. Weekly curriculum plans were also available and reviewed by LPA and are available for parents. Allegation #3: Classroom is not clean. The RP alleged, “There were boxes all over the classroom, the classroom was dirty, and the outside playground was dusty.” LPA conducted parent interviews and no concerns or disclosures were made regarding this allegation. LPA conducted child interviews and no disclosures were made regarding the above allegation. Staff interviews revealed that classrooms are cleaned throughout the day by staff and at the end of the day by custodial staff provided by Garvey School District. S#1 stated that there was a couple of boxes off to the side in the yard in which had work orders for the items to be assembled. During observations, LPA found classrooms to be clean. Tables and chairs were sanitized before and after use. Carpets were free of stains, toys and materials were clean, restrooms were sanitary and in working condition, and the playground was safe and free of hazards. LPA Perry did not observe any boxes inside or outside of the facility. LPA Perry did observe tables and chairs for the amount of children enrolled. Based on LPA’s observations, interviews with staff, children, and parents, and review of records, there is no evidence to support the allegation 1, Children are not given the opportunity to nap or rest, allegation 2, Facility does not have a daily schedule available and allegation 3, classroom is not clean. Therefore, these allegations are determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning the allegation may have occurred, or is valid, but the preponderance of evidence does not prove the violation occurred.
