What the inspector wrote

On October 16, 2025, at 2:05 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Peter Bishop arrived at the above facility to conduct an unannounced case management visit. This is a Preschool Program Program. There were 7 children present at the time of this visit. LPA Peter Bishop announced the purpose of visit and was granted entry into the facility by the Director - Yolanda Stowe. The purpose of today's visit was to follow up for the facility’s required visits. The Licensee was on site at the time of the inspection. Physical Plant: Indoor Space LPA Peter Bishop observed the classroom was equipped with age-appropriate furniture and learning materials. The classroom has a carpeted area, TV, library area, soft furnishings, cubby storage, dramatic play area, age-appropriate toys, manipulative items, and arts & crafts area. LPA observed equipment, and materials to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA observed Classroom 2- which is not being used at this time. The children take a nap in this space. LPA observed equipment, and materials to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA Peter Bishop observed two bathrooms to be in good and operable condition, equipped with a one appropriate age sink, and one toilet in each bathroom. Page 1 of 2 Physical Plant: Outdoor Space LPA Peter Bishop observed the Playground area has small climbing and slide structure with wood chips, bikes, basketball hoops, playhouse, crawl tunnels, balls, artificial grass on play area, and age-appropriate tablesand chairs. LPA observed main care area to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Preschool children were in their designated classroom at the time of the visit. Staff #1 File has all required licensing documents in file CPR expiration date of 8/12/2025 A Type B Deficiency will be issued today. Mandated Reporter expiration date of 1/26/26 Accredited courses in file. Based on this information, the following deficiencies on the attached LIC 809D are being cited in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Deficiencies that are being cited need to be cleared to protect the children’s health & safety. 1 Type B Deficiency will be issued today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal rights reviewed and given to the Director - Yolanda Stowe. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director - Yolanda Stowe. Page 2 of 2

    At Least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to health and safety code 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities. Based on record review 3 of 4 staff did not have a valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid approved by Emergency Medical Services Authority EMSA which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
