What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) conducted an unannounced case management visit on 04/16/25. LPA arrived at the facility at 12:30 PM and was met by licensee, Guadalupe Rivas, who guided analyst on a tour. LPA observed 6 children in care and 1 assistant. The home was observed to be clean and free of defects. The purpose of this visit is to observe corrections to citations issued on 03/06/25. LPA observed that licensee to have pediatric first aide and CPR training that expires in 10/2025. Assistant's CPR expires 03/2027. Immunization records were observed in the assistant's personnel file. LPA observed that licensee and assistant have completion certificates for Mandated Reporter General Training on file that are AB1207 compliant. Immunization records were observed to be in each assistant's personnel file. Per licensee, she does not pay her assistants because they work on a volunteer basis. Licensee understands that she must be present in the home during operation hours. Licensee understands that a substitute adult maybe used, but a temporary absence cannot exceed 20 percent of the hours the facility is providing care. Individuals that were missing from the association list on 03/06/25 are currently listed and cleared adults. Licensee [or facility representative] was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Plan of correction letters were print out and given to licensee. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with licensee, Guadalupe Rivas. Report signed by assistant S2.
