Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

LPA Lee also observed the discipline policy of the facility in the admission agreement given to parents during enrollment. The interviews conducted with staff members of the facility did match up with the written policy of the facility when it came to discipline. Children are given a verbal explanations from staff which can progress to a meeting with parents if the behavior does not improve. The complaint mentioned a specific classroom and staff members of the facility in the details of the allegations. LPA Lee interviewed children and staff members from that classroom during the investigation. The interviews did not provide any additional evidence that supported the allegation. Based on the evidence collected during the investigation, the allegations that staff handled children in a rough manner, forced children to lay down during nap time, and did not prevent inappropriate behavior of children in care may be valid. However, there is not enough preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars. Exit interview conducted with assistant Director Susan Situ. Appeal rights discussed and explained.
