What the inspector wrote

On April 4, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Priscilla Ochoa conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the above facility. LPA was greeted by Director, Lisa Castaneda, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. The purpose of this inspection is to follow up on the status of the Director’s enrollment in a Supervision and Administrational course. Per Title 22, Supervision and Administrational course is a requirement for Child Care Directors. LPA observed 16 infants in care along with 5 staff. The Director provided LPA proof of enrollment for Supervision and Administrational course at a accredited university. The Director also provided LPA an exception letter, requesting the Director remain the Director while the Supervision and Administrational course is completed. LPA explained the exception process to the Director. LPA will submit Exception letter to the department for review and will follow up with the facility. There are no deficiencies being cited at this time. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days during facility’s hours of operation. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided to Director, Lisa Castaneda.
