Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Steven Tung conducted an unannounced annual inspection. A risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken, licensing staff present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. LPA met with Licensee Melisa Agramon who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. The Licensee\342\200\231s son was also present. There were 2 children present, 1 being an infant. Licensee states that there are currently 6 children enrolled. This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry room, and front yard (fenced). The children use the bathroom in the hallway, the living room, the dining area, and the front yard. Licensee had latches on cabinets with any potentially hazardous material. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children include: the kitchen and the 2 bedrooms. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit. Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for safety and comfort. There were safe toys, play equipment and materials observed for children. There is a working telephone service maintained in the home. Listerine, dog grooming products, and other items which can pose a danger to children were observed by LPA to be accessible in the mirror cabinets of the bathroom used by children. Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock.
