What the inspector wrote

An unannounced Case Management Inspection was conducted on this day by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Raul Navarro and Anthony Padilla to address an Unusual Incident Report that was received in the licensing office on 09/07/23. LPAs arrived at the facility at 09:09 am and met with Licensee Maria Villamil. There were ten children present during today's inspection. Licensee reported that the facility will be undergoing construction to convert the garage into an ADU. Licensee reported that the construction timeline will be from 9/7/23 through 1/31/23. Licensee stated they will put up a fence to prevent access to the construction area and that the day care children would not be affected by the construction. Workers will be entering through the gate located in the rear and will have no contact with the day care children. Licensee guided the LPAs on a tour the facility. LPAs observed the fence preventing access to the construction area. The fence was in good repair. LPAs also observed that the workers have no access to the day care area. LPAs observed the rear gate entrance through the alley way that the workers use to enter the property. Photos were taken of the gate during the inspection. Based on all information obtained on this date no follow-up is necessary regarding the incident. There were no deficiencies observed in regards to today's visit. Exit interview was conducted with Licensee Maria Villamil. A notice of sit visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
