On February 10, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. LPA met with director, Miranda Perez who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool age program that operates Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. During the inspection, LPA observed 34 children in care with 4 staff members. The following classrooms were inspected: Classroom 1, 2 and 3 downstairs were inspected for health and safety. Classroom upstairs was inspected for health and safety. During the inspection, the children were observed playing outside (12 children with 1 staff), in the upstairs classroom for nap (15 children with 2 staff) and there were 7 children with 1 staff in classroom 2. Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Staff names were recorded. All children were observed to be under supervision, including visual supervision. Licensed facility is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Per director, the isolation area for children is located in office located upstairs. The classroom furniture and equipment was inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. LPA observed napping equipment in the upstairs classroom. Napping equipment provided are cots. Per director, blankets and sheets are washed at facility weekly. The facility provides snacks to children in care. The children bring their own lunch from home that is stored in their cubbies. The kitchen was observed to be clean and the cleaning compounds/solutions were found to be stored away from the food. LPA observed that there are functioning smoke and carbon detectors in the facility. LPA observed a fully charged and serviced fire extinguisher. Emergency disaster drill was last conducted on 01/28/26. Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Sign in and out sheets were reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. LPA reviewed staff records, staff files were complete. Children\342\200\231s Records were reviewed to ensure that Identification and Emergency form and a medical assessment are on file. Verification of CPR/First Aid and health preventative practices documentation was reviewed. SB792 (Immunization Requirements for Staff and Employees) was discussed with the director. The director and staff do currently have immunization documentation. AB1207 Mandated Child Abuse Reporting \342\200\223 On or before March 30, 2018 any person who works in a child care facility shall complete the training and renew the training every 2 years. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. LPA observed child #1 (C1) medication to be expired (05/2025) and director confirmed C1 was still present at the facility during the visit. Per director and after record review C1 has a peanut allergy. Per director the facility is a peanut free facility. LPA observed Child #2 (C2) to have medication stored at the facility with no prescription box indicating that the medication belongs to C2. Per director, the parents of C2 informed C2's teacher that C2 no longer needs the medication. Per director, there is nothing in writing. LPA informed director, that C2's medication should be sent home if C2 no longer needs the medication. LPA advised director to get a written statement/declaration from C2's parent(s) indicating that the medication is being removed as C2 no longer needs it. CCC COMPLETED TESTING AND NO LEAD EXCEEDANCES: Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1597.16. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP.). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives (Interim Licensing Standards) outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. LPA referred licensee [or facility representative] to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information ( https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/water-testing-information ) LPA advised the licensee to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov . Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the director, Miranda Perez, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
