HORACE MANN EARLY EDUCATION AND EXTENDED L.P.

What Happened

The inspection found the one-classroom preschool clean and operating within capacity, but the sign-in sheet did not match the number of children present. The facility also discussed its lead-water plan because children only sometimes use the outdoor fountain and otherwise drink from bottles.

Observations

  • Nineteen children were present, but only 15 were signed in.
  • A working carbon monoxide detector was observed in the classroom.
  • The program said it would decide whether to test the water or continue using bottles and request a waiver.
