What the inspector wrote

Page 2 The preponderance of evidence has been met; therefore, the above allegation is found to be substantiated. A type B deficiency is being cited today for regulation 101223(a)(1) Personal Rights. The California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Jessica Castro.

    101223(a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:(1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons.This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on interview, the Licensee did not comply in the section cited above. Per interview, Staff was witnessed during multiple incidents responding to children inappropriately. This is a potential risk to the personal rights of children in care.
