Routine inspection (3-year)·February 12, 2026

On 02/12/2026 at 11:40AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mariah Aguirre conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted by licensee, Victoria Jordan who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 5 children in care. Per licensee there are 5 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:30PM. Two adults live in the home. This is a single-story house consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining area, living room, den, kitchen, garage, unfenced front yard, and fenced back yard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children include 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom, garage, and front yard. Children have access to the living room, kitchen, den, dining area, one bathroom and one bedroom. All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible to children were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Home is well ventilated. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, and AM/PM snack to children in care. Per licensee they are apart of a meal program through Kidcare. Page 1 of 5 LPA observed all cleaning products to be kept in the garage, that per licensee always remains locked and is inaccessible to children in care. Per licensee, there are no poisons in the home. LPA observed the knives kept in a high kitchen cabinet that is inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed a dual in line functioning Smoke/Fire detector and Carbon Monoxide detector. LPA observed a working telephone. (Licensees cell phone). LPA MAguirre observed fire extinguisher to be fully charged and serviced last in April 2025. There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. Per licensee there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA MAguirre did not observe any bodies of water at the time of inspection. Licensees First Aid and CPR expires on 12/2026. LPA MAguirre reviewed children\342\200\231s files and files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed licensee and assistant\342\200\231s file. Files were found to be complete. Children and Staff names were documented. LPA observed a current facility roster. The licensee has completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com , expires on 01/21/2027. All childcare employees must complete mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire and renew training every two years. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22- 02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Page 2 of 5 Licensee was advised of the requirement to report unusual incidents and/or injuries to the parent/guardian and Licensing within the time frame specified by the regulation and on the form LIC624B. The licensee was informed of the responsibility to report suspected Child Abuse by calling the Child Abuse Hot-line at 1-800-540-4000. Also call the CCLD office and follow up with a written Unusual Incident/Injury Report (LIC 624B). Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Per the Licensee, fire and disaster drills are conducted every four months and the last drill documented and conducted was in December of 2025. Licensee has the required documents posted in the FCCH; Facility License (LIC 203), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610a), Notification of Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 394). The following was discussed with the licensee: Capacity requirements, Roster requirements, Posting requirements, Documentation requirements for disaster drills (fire and earthquake). Mandatory Forms for the children\342\200\231s files and provider\342\200\231s files, and Safe Sleep Regulation. The role and responsibilities of being a mandated reporter were reviewed. Licensee was reminded that supervision is always required to children in care. Page 3 of 5 Licensee was made aware that it is their responsibility to know the regulations as well as anyone who assists in providing care. Licensee was advised that inaccessibility of hazards must be constantly reassessed depending on the children in care. Licensing must always have the facility\342\200\231s phone number; if the phone number is changed, licensing must be notified. Regulation prohibits the smoking of tobacco in a private residence that is licensed as a family childcare home and in those areas of the family day care home where children are present (24/7 ban). State law prohibits baby walkers, bouncy seats, exersaucers and any other items that fall into that category. --Licensee was advised to visit the CCL website ( www.ccld.ca.gov ) to obtain updates of courses and updates/changes to the regulations. -- Our Quarterly updates come out every 3 months they are also now in Spanish please log in to the CCLD website or you can email our advocates to have the quarterly updates send directly to your email. LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with the Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Page 4 of 5 Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee, Victoria Jordan confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
