What does Type A vs Type B mean?
Type A. Serious citation. Imminent or substantial risk to children. The regulator requires corrective action immediately and may impose a civil penalty.
Type B. Lower-severity citation. Corrective action required, no imminent risk. The regulator monitors compliance on the next visit.

Reporting Requirements. The licensee shall report the following information the Department by telephone or fax within the Department's next business day and during normal working hours (8am to 5pm). The licensee shall report any of the events as specified in Health & Safety Code Sections 1597.467(b)(1)(A) through (b)(1)(C) that occur during the operation of the family child care home. Medical treatment means treatment by a medical professional, as defined in Section 101152(m). The requirement is not met as evidenced by: Licensee did not report incident to the Department as required.

Personal Rights. Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rights that shall not be waived or abridged by the licensee regardless of consent or authorization from the child's authorized representative. These rights include, but are not limited to, the following: To receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment. The requirement is not met as evidenced by. Licensee did not seek medical attention after finding out the infant ingested a poisonous fruit. This poses an immediate health and safety risk of children in care.
