Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

L icensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mabika met with Licensee, Zepur Dilanchyan and conducted an unannounced case management inspection for a capacity increase of the license. Upon arrival was licensee, licensee's assistant, two biological children(all cleared) and 12 children in care. The children were all engaged in activities. This is a single level home with a kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, family room and dining room, fenced backyard and garage. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. Facility is currently relocating day care to a new extension which was toured, evaluated and improvements suggested.. The new day care rooms comprising one main day care room, one bedroom and one adjourning bathroom was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness and ventilation. The day care can be accessed from the driveway via a gate that is latched and is lockable. The day-care was also checked to ensure inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The rest of the house would then be off limits with the access door locked. The cabinets in the day-care room and bathroom will be latched although Licensee states she is not going to be storing any items with a potential danger to children. There is a built-in stove in the day care area and LPA suggested that either it be barricaded or the top covered up when ever care is being provided to make it inaccessible to children. Licensee stated she will not be using it at all during day care hours. A Declaration form will be completed. Covid protocols and documentation were discussed. An exit interview was conducted, a signed copy of this report was read and left with licensee. A notice of site inspection was discussed and left with Licensee, Zepur Dilanchyan
