Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

An Informal office meeting was conducted, in Spanish, on this date to discuss concerns the Department has regarding the above facility. Present at the meeting were Carina Perez, licensee, Diana Perez, licensee\342\200\231s assistant/daughter, Ana Chico, Licensing Program Manager (LPM) and Veronica Martinez Garza, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA). The purpose of this informal meeting is to discuss the facility history and pending application for a capacity increase received on 07/18/25. The summary of the facility history includes 2 Type A deficiencies for Ratio and Capacity from 2024-2025. Deficiencies observed: 07/23/24 -The licensee was not home; however, there were 2 assistants with 16 children, 1 being an infant. Type A citation. 09/26/25 -The licensee was present with 1 assistant providing care and supervision for 7 children (1 infant and 6 preschoolers). Type A citation. Deficiencies mentioned above have been corrected. The licensee has created an immediate health and safety risk for children in care due to being out of ratio and not complying with the limitations of a small family child care home license on 07/23/24 and 09/26/25. Page 1 of 2 Licensee was informed that the department will grant a large family child care license; however, the department will conduct more frequent inspections for a year to ensure that the licensee is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations. A copy of Title 22 Regulations, 102416.5 Staffing Ratio and Capacity and capacity regulation handout English/Spanish was provided to the licensee. Information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP) was also provided. Please visit the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov for quarterly updates, forms, and regulations. The licensee is required to provide copies of this Informal meeting to parents. The licensee will provide a copy of this report to the parent/guardian of children currently enrolled by the next business day or immediately upon return. A copy of this report shall also be provided to the parent/guardian of any newly enrolled children for the next 12 months (1 year). The licensee will obtain a signature and date from the child's parent/guardian on the Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224). The licensee will keep a record immediately upon receipt of the completed and signed LIC 9224 acknowledging receipt of this report in the child's file. Licensee was provided a copy of the LIC9224.
