Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 05/05/25, at 3:30pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susann Sanchez and Ashley Calderon conducted a conducted a case management initiated for the purpose of remeasuring the facility. LPAs met with Director Angelica Herrera and disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility. There were 6 infants present with (2) staff upon arrival. The facility also has a Preschool and School Age program on the premises. The purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection was to address errors found on the fire clearance that was provided by the Fire Department on 09/22/16 prior to the facility being licensed. In addition, errors were found on the pre-licensing report. These errors directly affect capacity determination. Therefore, LPAs measured the facility both indoors and outdoors. This facility is currently licensed to care for 18 infants. The following was determined based upon measurements taken: Indoor space: 388.3936/35 = 11 infants Outdoor space: 761.5289/75 = 10 infants Based on outdoor activity space measured the current capacity of 18 is not sufficient space to accommodate 18 infants. Based on today's measurements the facility can accommodate 10 infants. The facility is equipped with a separate napping area and has 2 toilets and 2 sinks available for children's use. Director stated that they no longer want a Toddler Component option under this license. Per Director, If a child that is 2 years of age were to require care, they are enrolled in the preschool component #198019106. LPAs advised Director to submit an updated LIC 200A-Application for a Child Care Center to reflect the new capacity along with an updated facility sketch and update their parent handbook. LPAs will resubmit a fire clearance to the Fire Department. Application, facility sketch, and parent handbook will be submitted by 06/05/25. No deficiencies cited today. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) \342\200\223 must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Angelica Herrera. A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and left with Director.
