What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Calderon conducted unannounced random/ annual inspection. LPA arrived at the facility at 1:10pm, Licensee Adei Getachew was not present at the home. LPA contacted Licensee via telephone, Licensee was providing Transportation for after school pick up day care child. At 1:06pm Licensee Adei Getachew met with LPA and allowed entrance to the facility. Licensee arrived with (1) child. LPA disclosed purpose of today's visit and FCC Entrance Checklist was provided. Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Per Licensee, hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Per Licensee, hours may change if needed depending on parents schedule. Licensee provides transportation when needed and currently not caring for infants. Licensee informed LPA of changes of the facility sketch. (1) off limit bedroom was converted to day care room making it accessible to children. Garage that was previously used by children is now off limit to the children in care. Licensee did not report changes to the department before making changes to the facility grounds, citation was given, type B Licensee who guided analysts on a tour of the facility the following was observed: the home is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/ dining area, family room, living room, garage,side-yard, backyard and front yard. The children have access to the following: Kitchen/ dining area, family room, living room, bathroom attached to the children day care room, and back yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: (2) bedrooms, garage and side yard.
