What the inspector wrote

Regarding allegation: The licensee is absent from the day care for more than 20 percent of the hours of operation: LPA conducted an interview with the Licensee, who stated that they only take care of school-age children. Per Licensee, she drops off children at school by 8:00 am and picks children from school around 2:30-245 pm. After picking up the children from school she take them to her home and the parents will pick up the children by 5:00 pm. Additionally, the Licensee states that she may or may not be at home during the day if she does not have any children in her care. LPA conducted interviews with parents: Parents 1-3 corroborated that Licensee drops off their children at school by 8:30 am and picks them up from school- children will either be dropped off at home or picked up at day care around 5:30 pm. Parent # 4 stated that their children attend home school from the facility. Additionally, parents 1-4 did not have any concerns regarding the licensee or the facility and corroborated that Licensee has always been present in the facility when children are dropped off or picked up. LPA conducted visits on 05/04/23, 06/16/23 and 7/7/2023 during school hours and LPA observed no children in care. This agency has investigated the complaint alleging: Licensee is absent from the day care for more than 20 percent of the hours of operation. Based on the evidence presented above, the allegation has been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is unsubstantiated.
