Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Page 2 Some parents will call and tell the staff they want the child to put on a sweater or jacket if its cold. Interviews stated that some children don't want to take off the sweater or jacket even when hot outside and staff will not force the child to do what they don't want to do. Per the issue with the child going home with the shoes on the wrong feet, per interviews it is unknown how the child had the shoes on the wrong feet due to the child had shoes that were on and loose and that would slip off through out the day and staff would have to keep putting the shoes back on the child. Before the child went home one staff had put the shoes back on the child and when the parent came to pick up the child another staff noticed the shoes on the wrong feet and offered the parent to fix them and parent just stated she would take care of the child at that time. That was during the same conversation the staff and parent had regarding the child runny nose and temperature being taken, so staff was unsure if parent realized and heard regarding the shoes on the wrong feet. Staff stated she remembers putting the shoes on the right feet but not sure if they fell off again before mom came for pick up and child tried to put them back on. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.
