What the inspector wrote

This was Case Management inspection conducted on 5/21/2021 at 2:00 PM by Denise Gibbs, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA). Due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures, this Case Management Inspection was conducted with Tiffany Fields, Director via a tele-inspection by use of Zoom for the purpose of a capacity increase. There were 30 children present and four staff when the visit began. Teacher-Child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. All children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times. This is a preschool program providing care for children 2 to 5 years old. The facility operates Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Sign-In and Sign-Out is done electronically via the Bright Wheel application. Manual sign in/out is used if application is not available. This facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 36 children with a total of two classrooms, 2-3 year old room and the 4-5 year old room. The Licensee is requesting to increase the total capacity to 40 preschool children by adding two children to each classroom. All areas identified on the facility sketch were toured both indoors and outdoors; measurements were taken as needed. No changes were made and no new furniture has been added to the facility since last measurements were taken on 1/5/2021. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that can pose a danger to children, were observed to be inaccessible in the kitchen under the sink and in the maintenance rooms. Director states that no children -------------------PAGE 1 currently have medication. Director states that there are no poisons stored at the facility. LPA observed water readily available inside and outside via pitchers and cups. Restrooms were clean and free of hazards. Preschool has three toilets and four sinks operable and available to children. Menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. This program provides Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack . Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPA observed shade for the children. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPA did not observe pools, spas or other bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe weapons or firearms at the facility. All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption. Facility continues to follow COVID-19 precautions and procedures, last evaluated on 5/12/2021 by LPA. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. A fire clearance has been granted as of 5/13/2021. Capacity increase may be granted upon Licensing Program Manager (LPM) approval. At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no deficiencies will be issued today. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) \342\200\223 must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Tiffany Fields, via Zoom, during which appeal rights were explained. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to the facility via email with a read receipt or confirmation of email, which will act as the Director's signature. ----------------------PAGE 2
